Taarbæk, Denmark
Baby Georg hasn't arrived yet when we visit his family's beautiful home in Taarbæk, just north of Copenhagen. But with his due date just days away, preparations are well underway.
Nestled close to nature and the sea, their home radiates light and warmth, with a calmness and sense of peace in every corner.
This is a space filled with high-quality pieces that reflect the family's appreciation for craftsmanship, wonderful details, and high quality. Natural materials and calm colour choices create a timeless base, while playful touches of turquoise add gentle pops of colour.
Explore Georg's room and see glimpses of the rest of this beautiful home, now home to a family of three.
The Wood Mini+ crib from Oliver Furniture bathed in sunlight. The crib, made from 100% oak, is a functional and practical crib, that has been designed with flexibility and longevity in mind.
Inside the crib is a Gus the Bear teddy, and baby bedding from Studio Mini; on the side of the crib hangs a white hooded overall. In the window lies a knitted whale.
A small folding table, painted in a delicate sage colour, sits beside the crib. On it are a few essentials for baby Georg's first few weeks: Warm wool baby booties, a few onesies, wool socks, a light blue pacifier on a pacifier clip.
A soft, comfortable armchair; a perfect spot for nursing sessions.
A 'Camp' foldable chair from Oliver Furniture is used as a relaxing bed rest or as a side table for a magazine or book. The lightweight chair is easy to move around the house, and may be folded when not in use.
A soft, organic wool fleece overall hangs on the end of the Wood Mini+ crib.
Next to it, on the chair, is a small raffia basket with a baby beads grasper on top.

The walls have been clad with xx wallpaper, creating a cocoon-like feeling. The oak crib fits right in.
Inside the bed is a baby duvet with bedding from Studio Mini. On the door hangs a Liberty pouch, and on the small chair sits a green pimpel doll and a baby beads grasper.
Details on the table: A cute Peter the Rabbit finger puppet book next to baby essentials such as onesies, wool socks, a pacifier and pacifier clip, wool baby booties and a small light grey suitcase for storage.
A Klapp high chair in oak with a baby seat stands folded just as you move from Georg's room and into the kitchen.
A peek into the calm and beautiful living room. Sun light shines through all the windows, filling up the room with warmth.
A 'Wood baby & toddler rocking chair', also from Oliver Furniture, is placed in here. This bouncer calms and entertains Georg while giving his parents a few hands-free minutes.
A wooden bench is placed by one wall of the living room, serving as a low shelf. It’s beautifully arranged with piles of books and rattan baskets. An unexpected pairing of an orange tray and a turquoise lamp creates a striking yet harmonious combination.
A rattan baby rattle and pacifiers in colour mocha and baby blue all match the rest of the décor beautifully.
